She had served as secretary/treasurer of her Sunday school class and held various offices in United Methodist Women over the years. A resident of the Tacora Hills area of Clinton for many years, she was active in the Home Demonstration Club and the Gardening Club. Mrs. Jones was a former member and officer in the Caryville and Clinton chapters of the Order of Eastern Star. Mrs. Jones was the widow of Herman Barkstal Jones.
